We construct the shutters out of pine or cedar depending on your home’s style.
The pine shutters have a smooth surface and can be stained or painted. Most homeowners enjoy the wood grain that is visible with staining, although certain styles of homes look nicer with a painted shutter that is slightly darker than their trim color.
The cedar shutters have a rough texture and are generally stained.
We have three installation options. The least expensive option is to simply install the shutter directly to the home in the same way vinal shutters are attached using screws that are not visible.
The second option is to attach the shutter in the same way as the first option and then adding shutter dogs or tie backs on the bottom. This gives the shutter a working look.
The third and most popular option is to attach working hardware (new york style) to the home and to the shutter this allows you to close and open your shutter for privacy,and weather protection. This option also includes the shutter dogs to hold your shutters to the homes surface.
