Multiple color usage scares some homeowners. Color selection is somewhat overwhelming to many. I enjoy making suggestions when asked. I can usually get a feel for a homeowners style by their furnishings, window treatments , and the dreaded wall paper. (We also remove busy-design wallpaper although, I have seen some tasteful and unique wallpaper designs — If that is the case, I can match a paint color to complement the paper.) This particular project worked well, because all the colors not only complemented each other, they also complemented the home furnishings. (I always knew my color and design class in art school would pay off someday!) The spaces in the home and the way the home was laid out really lent itself to placing the colors where you could see them complementing each other at open views.

This is an interior repainting project where the homeowner wanted to do several complimenting colors with accent color walls. The challenge on this project was to come up with the perfect painting palette that added to the home’s warmth and appeal.
In the kitchen of this project, we added a tile back splash to show off the wonderful cherry cabinets (and to keep water off the paint!). In the children’s rooms we did two colors on opposite walls to make the rooms fun. Usually the colors are the child’s selection, after all it’s he child’s room. We feel that the family home is an important place where many memories are created. We like to add to the family enjoyment and the expressions of the individual family members.
